Anti Virus Blocking SMTP.client

Quick little note to the last post.

I was using the Fully qualified DNS for the SMTP server in the system.net.mail.smtpclient, all the mail was being caught by the virus scanner.

By changing the smtp.host to [LocalHost] allowed the mail to be sent.

** note I also need to set the encoding to UTF-8 for the .body to come in to the message.
